Back in the summer I faced a set back with my blog and project, mainly due to feeling discouraged by a lack of interest/support in what I had achieved thus far and what I was trying to do with regards to highlighting mental health problems associated with BPD. I managed to overcome that setback and genuinely wanted to continue with the blog. I knew it could help people, even if ultimately the only person it really helped was me. I believed it was worth it... I was worth it.
Unfortunately I then had the more devastating setback of my marriage breakdown to contend with (Aug/Sept) At first I believed I could continue but there were lots of issues to overcome, namely:
* mental health/well-being
* lack of resources (all at the house)
* lack of Wifi/internet at the caravan
* lack of time (pressure to find work to be able to live independently)
I worked from November to January in a Temporary role but I am now back in the throes of looking for work. I am also keen to get back on the project and blog, hopefully starting again in February. Obviously this means the project will overrun (i.e I won't complete 40 pieces in my 40th year)
I created 11 pieces in the 4 months from April to July 2019, so when I get started again I will set a new target to create the remaining 29 pieces in 8 months. For example, if I'm ready at the start of February then 31st October 2020 would be the new end date. I hope to secure exhibition space for March 2021 which would mark 2 years from the birth of the project.
