I started #5 this afternoon. I was inspired by a gorgeous weather map that flashed up on my Google feed a few weeks ago. I screenshot it and today attempted a watercolour based on the colours and patterns. I used brown ink to do some Kandinsky-esq lines, which have a hint of weather bars about them too. I didn't want this to be an exact representation of the original image so I avoided black ink and the lines have absolutely no scientific, mathematic or geographic precision; this is a very loose, light-hearted, simple painting! It took no more than and hour and a half to paint and my family say they love it...I am just impressed that I have created something in watercolour that I find vaguely attractive to look at. Painting it did lift my mood on an otherwise difficult day of emotions (apprehension, fatigue and tension re: de-cluttering lady coming tomorrow and in-laws visiting).
