Painting #4 - Day 5 (17/05/19)

Today I faced a couple of problems with #4. After a VERY late night finishing the newspaper collage, I ruined it today by painting a thin black outline around it. This was supposed to have been carefully considered against using silver but I ploughed on with black due to a momentary lapse in concentration! I wracked my brain for a solution; I was really annoyed at myself and a little devastated by this error. All problems are surmountable it seems, as I managed to create a smooth neat finish using newspaper whilst covering over the black. It wasn't quick but it was well worth the effort. I've even added a personal touch for R in memory of his grandad, Arthur.

I am still not happy with the shade of gold used in a few sections but I'm hoping to shop tomorrow for an alternative.

The other section I've worked on today is the bit below the collage where I have added poker chips which I think look really cool. R thinks they look like pebbles and stones in a river.
