Painting #11 - Day 1 (20/07/19)

This piece of art is going to be a collage over a painting that I did back in 2016 whilst on my Introduction to Art course. I never particularly liked the colours or the end result so it has been sat in my art folder ever since. Today I have resurrected it in order to create something fresh and new. My inspiration for this piece came from a story in the news last month about a baby who was born at a Pink concert. The mother went into labour during the first song at the Anfield show and baby arrived only 4 minutes later! She was due to be named Dolly Louise but given the unusual nature of her arrival, she was instead named Dolly Pink. My artwork is going to be a celebration of the colour pink and will have a very 'girly' feel to it. I shall be using scraps of paper, card and tissue that I've got lying around in my art supplies and perhaps some other 3D embellishments and stickers. I know I am going to love doing this piece!
