Today is the anniversary of my Dad's funeral. It was 4 years ago and I can hardly believe where the years go.
I found out yesterday evening that Parkdean Resorts are closed for holidays now so as Owners we can still use our caravan but no leisure facilities will be available (No POOL!) We hope to spend plenty of time here as it has super quick access to the beach, an all-weather football pitch and nature walks. The trouble is, the general public failed to adhere to Social Distancing guidelines this weekend and were packing onto beaches, Snowdonia, the Lake District etc. As a result Boris has now put us into Lockdown! This means we have to stay put and it seems most sensible for us to all stay at the house together. It is really disappointing. As a severe introvert, I am struggling today on Day 4 of being with family 24/7. I NEED solitude. Time alone revives me, it keeps me sane! I just can't cope with constant input/interruptions/stimulation. So being with 3 other humans, 24/7 for at least the next 3 weeks is going to be quite the challenge! I can't stay here at the caravan alone though; the gas is likely to run out soon (and I would miss the children!! - I'm sure they would miss me too!) So it looks like we are all heading back to Ryde tomorrow where we will be pretty much house bound to Protect the NHS and Save Lives.
At least we have the new routine of a morning P.E lesson with Joe Wicks via You Tube every morning at 9am. It's the only exercise we are likely to get and the only reason to get up in some cases!!
Today, F did four worksheets for school and E did a whole day of online lessons. F also did a Scavenger Hunt that was put up on my Family WhatsApp group. He enjoyed doing it and I'm now thinking of what other fun little activities I can set him- these next three weeks are going to be long! These extreme measures haven't been seen since the war! It is frightening. I am really anxious about how horrible things are going to get in the coming weeks. We are all worried and just hoping that everyone stays well! (Mum has, in the meantime, had her only bathroom taken out by their friend DIY Derek! Let's hope he deems their bathroom 'essential work' tomorrow!)
