A lovely day! - 11/08/19

I have had a lovely day today. We have friends camping on the Island this week. I have agreed to camp too if and when the weather starts playing ball. We dodged the showers today and took the train to Shanklin where we had Sunday Lunch. We then had ice creams and built sandcastles and sand ice creams on the beach (well the three children did!)

I have had thinking time this evening and have toyed with the idea of writing an open letter to explain what happened the other day and how other people could help in similar situations. I will return to this idea in the coming weeks because I think the writing of it could be quite cathartic. Obviously this depends hugely on my ability to overcome my fear of being open about my embarrassment. I frequently question why I wanted to do a blog. It goes against every introvert trait I have. I am a person who is extremely private and craves solitude. Inviting people into my mind and my world is a scary and alien idea!
