Today I started by painting the remaining circles on canvas B. I have also painted the white sections today on both canvasses using white acrylic. I never like to leave any area of canvas unpainted, even though sometimes I want or need white in a design so doing this helps me to feel a sense of completion. I then switched back to canvas A to finish painting those circles.
It was really quite fun painting the circles. I am happy with the arrangement of the colours except for the final two colours when I was getting tired and my concentration started to wane. It was almost teatime and I wanted to complete the circles prior to eating. Unfortunately I accidentally confused myself by turning the canvas round to paint the orange circles which resulted in me painting the second orange circle where I had intended a pink circle to be. It's no great disaster really. My family have all said it is nothing like as bad as I had suggested it was and they really like what I have done today! It isn't my best work in terms of neatness as I've struggled with focus and concentration today. I genuinely think there are moments in my cycle when this is more of a challenge for me which is an interesting idea that I'd probably like to explore further at some point!
I love the effect that this black and white background has created and the boldness of the colours. If it wasn't such a challenge to be precise and accurate between the lines and in the circles I would definitely create more of these paintings with different colour combinations. For now I need to focus on neatening up the edges of these lines and painting the canvas borders. I want to paint them black which I think will frame the art perfectly and will also highlight the blue circle which links canvas A to canvas B. R is unsure about black; I think he likes them white as they are naturally but by using black I can neaten up and mask some of my earlier errors! I'm sure it work well.
Tomorrow I am hoping to locate my 3D paints and metallic acrylics because the focal point on each canvas (where the black and white points meet) is a small star which I think should glisten and stand out in a way that gold Sharpie can't quite create.
My yoga for today was a.m: 7 minute Yoga Boost and Yoga for Hips and p.m: 6 minute Yoga Chill and Yoga for Daily Neck Relief.
