(22/05/19) - Playing on my mind...

Today is the 2nd anniversary of the Manchester Arena terror attack. This was definitely playing on my mind in the lead up to the Strictly Come Dancing show in Portsmouth last night. I am always trying to work out when and where terror attacks are likely to happen and I suppose significant dates like this heighten those fears.

Obviously, nothing terrible happened last night; my daughter did have an amazing time! I was, however, happiest when the show had ended and we were safely back in the car with husband (R) and son (F). It was a very late night for us all as the ferries sail at 10pm (too early) and then midnight! It was 1am before we got the kids to bed. I know that my brain and body will take days to recover from the anxiety and tension that has consumed me for the last few days.

I will be posting some photos of the art I produced in the weeks following the attack at the Ariana Grande concert in 2017. I read last week that designers are being urged to submit plans for a permanent memorial. I am really interested to see it. I am sure it will be a place of peace and beauty, perfect for quiet reflection and remembrance.
