Today I have mostly been doing website work again. I also prioritised a longer yoga vid this morning and did a couple of short ones this evening. I have been suffering a little with discomfort under my ribs and a stitch-type pain on my right side. I figured maybe yoga would be worth a try to ease this feeling.

This morning I did 'Morning Fresh' and I've just completed a '6 minute Yoga for Hips' and '6 minute Yoga Chill'. I do feel a little better already. It released some wind (just a few burps!! Ha,ha...) and I'm also sitting up a bit taller so maybe that's helping my ribs!

I am an avid Radio 2 listener and on weekdays it is often the case that I will listen right through from waking to after teatime. However, at the weekends I struggle as there are very few programmes on that I can tolerate, much less actually enjoy. However, depending on the years chosen, I do really like to tune in for Pick of the Pops between 1pm and 3pm. Today the first year was 1979, the year I was born. The chart counted down today was from the week of my Dad's 27th birthday when I would have been about 7 weeks old! The number one song was 'Bright Eyes' by Art Garfunkle, the Soundtrack to the film 'Watership Down'. I remember my Dad telling me he used to sing this to me when I was a baby but I never realised it was number one in the charts at that time. It was released in January 1979 and was the biggest selling single of that year. It reached number 1 on April 14th (when I was almost three weeks old) and remained there for six weeks. I remember the film being far too scary and sad for me as a child and I've not seen it since. I do love hearing this song though, even though it sometimes makes me cry. It will always remind me of my Dad.

Yesterday would have been Dad's 68th birthday. R cooked us a Butter Chicken Curry to mark the occasion as that was one of Dad's favourite meals. It was delicious and we had all the extras too, the poppadoms, bhajis, naans which the kids love so much! I think Dad would have loved it too.

Yesterday's yoga was 'Yoga for Flexibility' and 'Yoga for Focus and Productivity'. I did both of these in the morning to set me up for the day.
