Today would have been my Dad's 67th birthday. I felt pretty tired this morning and not really up for doing anything. I volunteer for the NHS on Wednesday mornings and I couldn't help noticing that it was a struggle today even thinking about getting ready and going in. As I was putting my makeup on I wondered how I could convince my face not to give me away...I didn't feel mentally strong or emotionally resilient and the slightest thing could have set me off. Luckily I felt brighter by the time I got there and the shift went smoothly.
I spent the afternoon finishing the colour wheels. I love the colours I have mixed for the Klee sections, a totally different palette from the thinner sections and the bar along the top. I find colour mixing and intricate painting very therapeutic. I hate to waste any paint so I've used up any leftover bits on another piece of paper which may eventually become something! My daughter and husband really like it!
